Con claridad dudosa entendemos que lo que hacemos est à confinado a las limitaciones de la representaciòn, y nos parece bien. Este sobreentendido està presente en el nombre mismo de Instant Coffee (Café Instantàneo). Como producto, Instant Coffee es un sustituto efectivo. Remeda la cosa real sin pretender ser mejor. No es mucho màs fàcil de hacer, pero ese poco es razón suficiente para justificar sus particularidades. El gusto es un factor, y -para aquellos que tienen gusto- es una diferencia importante para marcar la calidad y definir las preferencias. Pero la calidad es algo demasiado particular, y las preferencias cambian. Son en realidad cosas superfluas, nombres incorrectos que distraen de las razones fundamentales para ingerir o bien la cosa real o su sustituto. Su valor està en su efecto. En su gusto, Instant Coffee se parece a duras penas a la cosa real, pero su efecto es equivalente. Independientemente del gusto, funciona. No se trata de calidad. Y es en esta indiferencia que Instant Coffee se convierte en un medio para ser usado.
